E3 is the largest gaming press show, where software/hardware developers and communities are brought together. Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, and heck, even Bethesda now have a conference. Nintendo has once again, confirmed that they will not be hosting a grand E3 conference this year. This isn’t a surprise to anyone at this point, as for the past few years, Nintendo has not hosted a massive live E3 event on stage.
According to Nintendo’s Financial Results for Fiscal Year Ending March 2017, the software/hardware giant will not be hosting a large showing and have not detailed plans for a “Nintendo Direct” or any sort of conference just yet. Nintendo’s President Tatsumi Kimishima had to say…:
Finally, the video game tradeshow E3 will be held in Los Angeles this June. Again this year, we will not be hosting a large-scale press conference for institutional investors, analysts and the media. Nintendo of America will present further information on our plans at a later date.
I will post an update in regards to Nintendo’s E3 news as soon as they are released.
