A few months ago, a weird trademark for the game Slashy Souls appeared online. However, nothing more had been brought up after the trademark was posted dating back to September.
Today, Namco-Bandai and GameStop in collaboration has announced Slashy Souls, a 2D challenging sidescroller that will be available on iOS and Android. Sorry Windows 10 Mobile fans!
Aside from the announcement, nothing other than a simple gameplay clip has been posted.
Namco-Bandai mentioned that this game is inspired by Dark Souls, but shares no real connection to the series…Despite the armor, areas, and classic “YOU DIED” sound but that are in this game. It is worth noting that FromSoftware is not developing Slashy Souls.
The game will be released Febuary 28, 2016.
